Blog 1: Introduction

My name is Olivia Giese and I am from Georgetown, Kentucky. I plan to graduate with bachelors degree in Architecture and a minor in Spanish. I plan to continue on to an architecture masters program. I am a very passionate and driven person. I contain a very creative and artistic mindset as well as a very outgoing and positive personality. I enjoy drawing/crafts, playing sports, hanging out with my friends, and traveling. I was very involved in high school and am planning on continuing that in college. I have become a new member of Kappa Alpha Theta at the University of Kentucky and will be very involved in that as well as in the College of Design and CSF. The biggest community I belong to would probably be the church. There are many people there that care about each other and it is a second family. You can come as you are, its real and generally when you leave you feel revived and refreshed. You feel like weight has been lifted off your shoulders and it is a big reminder for me to look at the big picture and what life is really about. The people help you focus on the truth and not the distractions of the world. It is also easy to get involved using your interests or talents to reach the local community and ones worldwide. I have been on multiple mission trips and it grows you spiritually and opens your eyes to see all there is outside of our comfort zones and how much we have to learn.
